Managing Webmail

You may always access your email from any computer, anywhere in the world, by using the Webmail system.

  1. Simply go to http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)
  2. Then enter your individual email box Username and Password [such as Username: mybox@mydomain.com and Password: open2me (use your own Password)]
  3. You now have the choice of 3 different Webmail programs: horde, SquirrelMail, or ROUND CUBE. Click once on one of these options then proceed to use that program.
  4. You can then view your email and send email.

Previously, we only had horde available. If you continue to use horde, you will now have immediate access to all of your email boxes at once, simply by clicking on the [+] next to Mail in the left-margin heirarchy menus.

When you use Webmail, you are actually viewing the email currently on the email server. You are not downloading it into the computer you're using—only viewing it. When you use another email program, such as Outlook or Outlook Express, you actually download the email into your computer. With Webmail, you don't download the email, but merely view what is on the email server.

If you use Webmail only for accessing your email box, please remember that when you leave emails on the server they will accumulate—and eventually can fill up your server account. Therefore, please delete any unnecessary emails from Webmail to avoid overfilling your server account.

If you are having problems after reading the instructions above, please phone (360) 967-2399 for assistance.
